Tiny Globe

A relaxing game that allows players to explore the world of a lonely snowman.

My goal

Tiny globe is a relaxing experience where the user can explore a world of a lonely snowman. My goal was to design a simple sandbox game which creates a meditative experience through elements like calm rain and gentle movement. This project is currently in a prototype stage.

My process

Tools were used in this projects were Unity, Maya, and Photoshop. Below are the technical features that were included:

  • 3 timed game events that happen at different times
  • 3 particle effects (smoke puff, spark and hearts )
  • 2 post-processing effects (lens blur and vintage)
  • 2 procedurally generated scenes using the rule-based systems (post-it notes and snowglobe)
  • 2 game events triggered by the activity of the player
  • 1 Unity Shader (rain window)
  • 3 particle systems
  • 2 shader graphs
  • 1 moving object to show off light probes
  • 1 procedurally generated object (snow globe)
  • 1 animated character
