Lantern Ceremony
A scene in Unreal Engine that evokes a sense of suspension and horror.
My process
- Created concept image by compiling reference images in Photoshop
- Assembled the scene in Unreal with free assets from the Marketplace
- Set up the camera to match the perspective of the mockup
- Modeled the lanterns in Maya and export to Unreal
- Imported the character hanging in the background from Mixamo
- Set up the environmental lights, atmospheric fog and lantern lights
- Animated the lanterns, character and camera
- Rendered via camera sequencer
